Dave comes to Boingo with extensive general management, marketing and sales experience in the telecommunications and Internet space, and is responsible for the strategic direction as well as day-to-day operations at Boingo. Dave has over 20 years experience in senior management roles in the telecommunications industry with Sprint in the U.S. and Canada and served as division president and executive vice president for Sprint. He is responsible for launching the consumer business under the Sprint brand, which grew to be a $600 million business, the largest alternative long distance company in Canada. Dave is also responsible for launching an ISP service in Canada under the Sprint brand, called The Most Online, which was the second largest ISP in Canada.
Before Boingo, Dave served as CEO for FirstSource Corp. and as the President/Chief Operating Officer of Ticketmaster Online CitySearch.
Dave holds an MBA from Baker University as well as a BS from the University of Kansas. Dave is a member of Young President's Organization and is a director on the CEA Wireless Division board.

As Chief Operating Officer, Jon Irwin is responsible for Boingo Roaming System operations and for customer support. Prior to Boingo, Irwin was vice president of service delivery at Infonet where he managed all operational customer support activities. Before Infonet, Jon held a number of executive customer relationship and operational positions at EarthLink, WorldCom, Impact Telecommunications and Cyberlink. He attended the University of California at Los Angeles, where he earned an MBA, and the University of California at San Diego where he earned a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering and a master's degree in systems engineering.

Niels is responsible for building and operating Boingo's engineering team,
core technologies and systems, including client software, networks,
authentication, billing and IT infrastructure. Prior to joining Boingo,
Niels was the chief network architect at EarthLink. Before that, he was the
director of systems and services at OneMain, which was acquired by
EarthLink. Prior to OneMain, Niels founded and built US Internet, a
successful regional ISP servicing the south-eastern US. He has consulted on
information technology issues with numerous other companies. In addition,
Niels is the co-author of A Guide to Operating Systems (Course
Technologies). Niels studied Computer Science at VU University in Amsterdam,
The Netherlands.

Karen Black is Boingo's senior vice president of engineering, and is
responsible for the on-going development of Boingo's award-winning client
software and its back-office billing and roaming technology. A technology
veteran, Black has served in a variety of senior executive positions in
operations and research & development for software companies including
Intersperse Inc., Enfish Technologies, and Wright Strategies Inc. She was
vice president and general manager at Symantec Corp. (formerly Peter Norton
Group), where she led the development of the Norton Utilities product line.
Black has a bachelor's degree in computer science from Napier College in
Edinburgh, Scotland.

As Senior Vice President of Network Strategy and Business Development, Colby is responsible for identifying and structuring partnerships with public space Wi-Fi infrastructure providers. In addition, Colby is responsible for strategic initiatives and partnerships with manufacturers of access control devices and WLAN gear. Prior to joining Boingo, Colby was a member of the business development team for eCompanies and charged with sourcing new investments and managing existing portfolio companies. Colby received his BA in economics from Stanford University.

Joe is responsible for managing the legal affairs of the Company. Prior to joining Boingo, Joe was a senior associate at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, where he served as primary outside counsel for numerous technology companies, and where his practice included corporate governance and administration, financing transactions, technology transactions, and merger and acquisition transactions. Joe received a B.A. from Cleveland State University and his J.D. from Case Western Reserve University, where he was elected to the Order of the Coif.

Peter is responsible for overseeing the financial and administrative functions for the Company. Prior to joining Boingo, Peter was VP Finance and Administration of Frontera Corporation where he was responsible for all financial, legal, administrative and human resource matters as well as contributing to the operational execution of Frontera. Prior to Frontera, Peter held financial management position with GeoCities (acquired by Yahoo!), MGM Studios and Wyndham Hotels Corporation. Peter graduated with a BA from Western Washington University and is a Certified Public Accountant in Washington State.

Floyd Hubbell joins Boingo as Vice President of Sales from PowerTel, where he also served as Vice President of Sales. Floyd was responsible for building the PowerTel sales and marketing organization that grew into a $350M business that sold to VoiceStream in 2001 for $5B. Prior to PowerTel, Floyd was with Lucent Technologies as a General Manager responsible for managing a 350-person organization including sales, marketing, customer care, repair, installation and inventory distribution center functions. He started his career with AT&T where he served in various sales management roles. Floyd has an MBA from Pepperdine University and a BS in Business Administration from Mississippi College.
