SANTA MONICA, Calif. - - September 14, 2005 - Boingo Wireless, a leading Wi-Fi service provider for business travelers, has been named the Los Angeles region's highest-growth Rising Star in Deloitte's Technology Fast 50 program. The award is based on the 3,549% revenue growth the company has experienced since 2002.
The Rising Star award is a special designation for fast-growth technology companies that have been in business less than 5 years and is part of the Los Angeles Technology Fast 50 program, which ranks the 50 fastest growing technology companies headquartered in Los Angeles, Ventura, Riverside, San Bernardino, and Santa Barbara counties. Rising Star rankings are based on percentage revenue growth over the three-year period from 2002 to 2004.
"Boingo's success in riding the wave of increased demand for wireless services comes from using technology to simplify the life of the Wi-Fi user on the go," said David Hagan, president and CEO, Boingo.
